How to export an Application from Oracle APEX in DedicatedDB, Shared or CloudDB

Step 1: Introduction

In this quick tutorial, I’ll show you how to export an application from Oracle APEX using the Maxapex hosting environment.

Step 2: Open Your APEX Hosting URL

Open your browser and type your APEX hosting URL.
For Maxapex users, this usually looks like:

servername.maxapex.net

Step 3: Sign In to Your Workspace

Once the page loads, log in with your Workspace, Username, and Password.
On Screen: Click “Sign In”.

Step 4: Go to App Builder

After logging in, click on App Builder.
This will display a list of all applications in your workspace.

Step 5: Select Your Application

Choose the application you want to export.
Click on the application name to open its details.

Step 6: Open the Export Menu

On Screen: Application details page.
Navigate to and expand the “Export/Import” menu.

Step 7: Generate the Export File

You will see the Export settings page.
Click on Export Application.
APEX will create a SQL file containing your complete application.

Step 8: Download the Exported File

Your browser will automatically download the application export file.
Save this file securely — you will need it later for importing or migrating your app.
